As AVP and director, Chris is the chief operating officer for Indiana University Online, providing entrepreneurial leadership of strategic operations and business processes for the office. He works with faculty, staff, and academic and other administrators at the university, campus, and school levels to determine the needs of the university related to online education, and to identify, develop, implement, and monitor services and solutions. 

Chris has worked at Indiana University for many years in different capacities. From 2007 to 2015, he served as director of undergraduate admissions for IUPUI. Prior to that, he was the chief of operations for undergraduate admissions and director of international admissions at IU Bloomington. He has presented nationally and internationally on online education, student engagement, domestic and international admissions, recruitment, enrollment management, transfer credit, urban higher education, and technology issues. A member of AACRAO, NACAC and NAFSA, he is the author of several articles and book chapters on these topics as well as the author/editor of AACRAO’s books on the educational systems of the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic. 

Chris holds an Ed.D., M.F.A., and M.A. from Indiana University and a B.A. from the University of Arkansas, where he was a Sturgis Fellow.
